Gas, electrics, alarms and energy. All sorted.
Your gas safety certificate is one of several checks a rented home needs. Book them together and get everything done with one booking and one point of contact.
EICR (Electrical Installation Condition Report)
Landlords in England must have the fixed electrical installation inspected and tested by a qualified person at least every 5 years, and give tenants a copy within 28 days. Councils can fine landlords who do not comply. We arrange the EICR alongside your gas safety check and send you both reports together.
Smoke and carbon monoxide alarms
You need a smoke alarm on every storey used as living accommodation, and a CO alarm in any room with a fixed combustion appliance such as a boiler or gas fire (gas cookers are excluded). Our engineers test alarms on every gas safety check, and can supply and fit sealed lifetime-battery CO alarms to BS EN 50291 and smoke alarms on the same visit.
EPC (Energy Performance Certificate)
You must give tenants a valid EPC, and the property must meet the minimum energy efficiency standard to be let. An EPC lasts 10 years. We arrange the assessment and can advise on heating upgrades, like a new boiler or controls, that improve the rating.
